There is no timer. The times are stored as an exact time (e.g. "Sunday Aug 11 12:34pm EST"), not a countdown (e.g. "3 days 21 hours 13 minutes 7 seconds til next spawn"). The timestamp of the next spawn is determined at the death of the previous.
