Lol, Oprah, celebrity candidate, lololol. No, she wouldn't win and would be a cynical nominee by the DNC. Seriously, wtf. Whichever party gets their shit together and takes care of the basics will have the country for the next 30 years.

There's like 5 more Oprah articles today.

David Brooks writes an article about how "Anti-Trumpism" is in decline

I think the bar has been lowered again on us.

Well its hard to argue shes not qualified with Trump sitting in office. She would be a strong candidate....but I have a strange feeling she would be more of a foreign policy president that doesn't do much for the economy...how much you want a bet she would just recruit the Clinton empire?

But I do think she would be a total peace dove on FP and be famous for that.

oprah is an extremely strong candidate in the zeitgeist. She WILL run and WILL be a strong contender in the Democratic primaries. Her win or loss will ultimately ride on her willingness to fuck over the people voting for her and give up her authority for the people who put her into power.

She'll definitely out-PR and out-muscle all the other female candidates, of whom there will be more than men right now, because the DNC is wrongfully thinking that they need a woman to get Trump out of office. But she WILL lose to Trump who will absolutely destroy her with his master-level bullying tactics and psychological assault.

I really hope the Democrats manage to put a more legit person up for election. I would still vote for Sanders. I'm not seeing many better options now that Kid Rock is running for Senate and the entire entertainment industry suddenly has a boner because they realize the dystopian future of Idiocracy is Now.

lotta truth in that last line. recently learned the unsurprising fact that parents who have children outside of marriage have an a stage IQ 10 points lower than their married counterparts. when 40% of births within a democracy are to parents in the 25th percentile of intellectual prowess, we can expect big things in the future, BIG things.
