When LTJ Bukem got interested in one of his demo's another artist name was needed as the music was too different and experimental compared to the other Stuart stuff, and that's where S.W. got 'born'.
Due to several reasons the track didn't get released on Bukem's Soulfood records, so United released it a few years later on their own 'After Midnight' label.
His first official S.W. release was 'Holy Spring' which made it on the infamous 'Supperclub' cd-series. This opened the door for Sjoerd into deephouse & chill-out land.
S.W.'s deep & sexy is gaining a reputation worldwide and his tracks have been licensed to a lot of compilations from labels & artists like Hed Kandi, Joeski & Unionz and Stonebridge.
Japan is one of the countries which really loves his sexy vibes and one of his dreams is to play there once. Sushi, Sake and deephouse, the ultimate combo!
He played in several well-known dutch clubs like Melkweg, Paradiso & Supperclub in Amsterdam, and last year he did a very eclectic gig on Roskilde festival in Denmark, the biggest pop festival of Scandinavia. As he loves Denmark and its crowd he returns there regularly to play at Cafe Englen, a very cozy cafe in Aarhus.
At the moment Sjoerd is working on several new tracks for both his S.W. and Stuart projects and are planned to be released in 2006. Meanwhile you can enjoy his musical selection and own tracks every Tuesday on RAAR FM, from 20.00 til 22.00 pm in Urban Night Grooves.
