If ya’ll watch the vid I posted from Hoover, who’s very qualified and experienced when it comes to debriefing pilot tragedies, about the crash, he summarizes it at the end as an error made by the Blackhawk helicopter pilot

Who also isn’t trans, despite a lie being spread around Twatter that they were

The Blackhawk helicopter pilot was a woman trainee with 500 hours flying the helicopter

Her trainer was a male flight instructor with 1000 hours flying helicopters, from what I’ve heard

The fault should, and likely will, land mostly on the Blackhawk helicopter flight instructor. Trainees are supposed to make mistakes. Instructors are supposed to keep those mistakes from killing people

Yeah my feeling is it's definitely on the helicopter crew mostly. Though planes make last minute ditches all the time if the wind is a little too strong, 10 feet above the ground right before touchdown, so they aren't completely off the hook either.

The plane was just doing what every other plane ever has done landing there, except avoiding the giant helicopter.

I think I get why these investigations take so long now.

I think it was an accident... but if it turns out the tower was understaffed, then that's the reason this happened.

TBH I would prefer these flight controllers can assure me that they can prevent two planes from colliding at an airport or I wont ever fuckn fly again.

I think it could be something on the military's side, because we've had 4 blackhawk crashes in the last 4 years, and 2 in the last 20 before that.

There are generally way more helicopter crashes than plane crashes because they are fundamentally different aircraft- you trade off safety for maneuverability in a helicopter, which is why they generally have dedicated ATC for each, and in this case it sounds like one guy was splitting duty in that regard.

Sure but there have been 4 blackhawk crashes since 2020, and 2 in the 20 years before that.

Either they all hit the warranty or we're doing something different IMO.

Well that just shows that our military had standards others didnt, and the current one doesn't either.

What changed?

What's changed in the last idk, 12 years, 8, 4?

What major military changes have we made in that timeframe that we can say had no effect whatsoever, because it turns out it's DEI?
