The one thing I hope comes from all this is that people educate themselves.

BTW ,... by next week NYC will have over 100k confirmed cases... meaning it likely has 50k-100k at the moment.
How do I know this? Well the confirmed cases have doubled aprox every 3 days. 44k today.. 3 days 88k and mid-late next week over 100k confirmed cases.

Now remember confirmed cases only go up because testing is more available.
That number is not the that actual number of people sick.

This. The few cases that were reported mid-month in Upstate NY were attributed to New Orleans which is now seeing a similar rise in confirmed cases as NYC, likely because of Mardi Gras celebrations. Also, apparently there's a good chance this whole thing worsens in autumn/winter after lessening over the summer months. Would not plan on travelling to see relatives for Thanksgiving.
