its early access right now, big content update + full character reset in february....had peak 50k concurrent players at the height, numbers are down right now because everyone knows its about to get wiped...its a great time to jump in and learn the basics before everyone starts fresh and a wipe is not as big of a deal as other MMOs...its not a waste of time to jump in now and figure out what hero(es) you like - ive played 4 of them to end game and another 3 or 4 casually...its a hoot no leveling, no grinding for consumables, pick one of many classes (after next patch there will be 3 tanks, 3 healers, 6 dps), hop into queue - there are about 15 different dungeons right now and more are coming all the different "heroes" have their own talent trees, and only at the hardest difficulties does "the meta" become even remotely important....free to experiment with different build ideas or playstyles every class / hero has the exact same number of abilities - no keybind bloat...i use 5 mouse buttons, Q, E, R, F, 1, 2, 3, ` and that covers it all for every single hero progress through contender, adept, champion, paragon difficulties where dungeons and mobs become harder / get new abilities then finally eternal, where like mythic+ in WoW, infinite scaling difficulty - clearing a dungeon to 100% and defeating the boss(es) within the time limit gives max reward, but just finishing even untimed gives stuff too basically its dungeon time attack, 4 player groups (tank, heals, 2 dps)...with 8 man "Raids" coming I have about 150 hours into it since I started in october. Can take it as sweaty or as casual as you like. Its really good fun. If anyone wants to play, hit me up. I don't shill games, but this is a good one. The devs have been super active on discord, listening to the playerbase, and communicating updates / etc well in advance. | |||
