Not only is r/k selection theory a discredited notion in evolutionary biology, your implication that conservative = k and liberal = r is ridiculous. Liberals believe in investing in society, using civic duty and public safety nets to maximize the opportunity afforded to people from shitty circumstances (druggy absentee parents, cultural bankruptcy, etc). Conservatives believe in a total free for all where you throw human meat into the grinder and let nature sort it out such that the cream will rise to the top and the unworthy will have nothing. Liberals are trying to maximize human capital (invest in offspring) and conservatives are trying to select for it (let the swarm of offspring loose and see who wins and who dies). Liberals also recognize the limitations and vulnerability of the environment while conservatives are okay with destroying the environment for economic gain and adapting to the ruins. That is patent k and r, respectively.

Idiots like you who care only about profits and personal financial riches (even though you're poor) somehow think that nothing bad is ever going to happen to themselves or their loved ones so it's okay to deny everyone else. Then, when something bad does happen they wonder what sort of government assistance they can get to cover the costs. Or they just don't pay and offload the burden onto someone else anyway.
