1. you can buy an AR for 500
2. It gonna cost about 10 grand or more to own one of them older models due to the paperwork required, its actually quite a time consuming process.
But that's purchasing it legally. Gun laws don't work because criminals don't follow them is what I hear.

we need to increase police spending by 2x at least if we want to make an impact, but liberals want more accountability bureaucracy and less police funding impeding these officers from doing their job, in what has proven in the last 10 years to be a fair and lawful manor, unlike what the internet viral videos made you think.
Violent crime is basically half of what it was in the early 90's. Viral videos didn't do shit to change my opinion of policing, I spent a large portion of my life living in a shitty neighborhood I've seen how fucked up a lot of local cops are in real life.

triiz, I said a ban on semi auto guns. That would work. Your example of the assault weapon ban did have a major affect on their use in crime.

But a ban on semi auto weapons is a hopeless dream.

Criminals don't in fact use full autos. In miami where the dialogue all started because of the drug trade in the 80s, after the ban deaths by automatic weapons went down by nearly 100% and to this day, still a very RARE way for someone to die by gunfire in America. That, among many other examples indicate you would reduce shootings only a FULL BAN on semi autos could have an effect on mass shootings, or shootings in general in the USA. Its what I said.

Anything short of that, and gun control would have had NO effect on any of the mass shootings in the last 10 years. So the point is, "sensible gun control" has no effect on mass shootings. Only, full ban on all semi auto weapons could potentially have an effect.

But short of a full ban on semi autos, if you argue for any gun control in hopes that it having an effect on mass shootings in ameraca, then you're anouncing to supporters of the second amendmant, that you are a dumb libturd that gets all your faucts and dahter, from memes and CNN headlines. Hence, completely clueless about gun law and issues.

what are you even arguing about here? I said he is not supposed to have a gun, becuse the LAW states that he is not, yet he was able to buy one anyway because the goverment SUCKS at its job and libtards vote for legislation and then dont put anyone in charge of managing it because they cuck them for campaign donations by pretending to be fixing such a tragic cultural phenomenon in American history.

what does that have to do with anything that I have said? I have by no means said anything that would indicate I require a description of the second amendment.

The SA is one thing, but the current law is what we live by.

incorrect. federal law, especially the constitution, trumps state law. texas can get fucked.

you'll never see a challenge to mental health restrictions though, as standing would be cut off at the knees by an immediate restoration.

what are you talking about? Challenge to mental health restricitons?

I Have no idea what you're on about. Im not even suggesting getting rid of any current law, infact I am citing it and defending it as law.

I am however saying that this individual with a mental health history worthy of legally blocking him from buying guns in three different manners, ALL of which failed at their job, was able to buy a gun, illegally as a result of the very beurocracy you are sitting here rattling off.
