I looked at the date of that BDA post, amusing that it was posted AFTER TMO had already started that concept here, our first from my links was 3/12, yours was on 6/14... so lets not get too uppity about how BDA tried to change the scene and TMO didn't. So, lets see here, TMO initiates server-wide raid opportunities... check BDA copies TMO... check FE has yet to offer anything of the sort... but claims that if only TMO would be willing to allow other guilds to raid things, they would do the same... it appears that FE is lying, else they would have already offered dragons etc to others. TMO has extended an olive branch in the past to anyone that wanted to raid, that they could come with us... and we even offered mobs that we wouldn't touch in a given week. The response was a slap in the face of people saying either we weren't doing enough, we had ulterior motives, we were going to train them when they tried and so many other things. Go read through those posts, they're filled with that kinda BS. We offer a branch of friendship, and camaraderie and people break the branch off... so we stop doing that, then they people complain later because we kill everything. You're damned if you do, and damned if you dont, so why shouldn't we kill everyting we get the chance to for our guildmates alt #X when our guildmates are appreciative. Why should we continue down a path that leads to people trying to smear us because of their own bias against us for whatever reason not that most of them are reasonable, when instead we can just get hated for doing what we do... killing things. The hard part in any game for ANY guild, be it TMO, FE, BDA, VD, FoH, <insert guild name here>, is that when you're doing what others are either not capable of, or choose not to for whatever reason, they get jealous, which turns to annoyance, then hate. We get hated for being good, and if FE thinks that they're going to knock us off some imaginary pedestal of being the top guild... thats fine. Then they will be hated for doing the same thing we've been doing... those at the top get sniped by those below them, those at the bottom complain that those at the top don't do enough to make their experience in the game better, and become hell bent on "bringing down the man" Damn the man, Save the Empire! We're not going anywhere FE, The pedestal is big enough for the both of us, We're going to butt heads on any number of issues, its what happens. As long as we're both playing within the rules, then nobody has any room to complain. I ask that you all consider that we're not out to GET you, we're just not willing to step off the pedestal. Share it, sure... relinquish it, never. If you go about trying to take it from under us, we'll fight back tooth and claw. Respect is a two way street. and now my novel is written. TLDR; TMO tried to change raid scene, BDA tried to change raid scene, FE claims they're willing to try, but hasn't yet shown how they are going to do that... thats ok, you guys have time to work that out, but dont presume you're the only ones to ever make an effort. | |||
