First off, you seem to have missed the point. Unless YOU are running a dedicated IRC server that those people are connecting to, or unless you are getting them to accept XDCC file requests via IRC and netstating their IP addresses, they don't just "show up" in a window on IRC.

But hey, I admit I haven't used IRC since it was relevant, so maybe shit has changed (doubtful).
