As a matter of fact, the first time I met Best outside of Najena when he asked me to group with him I declined as I had to work and before leaving tossed him an unsolicited SoW.
If you are in fact Tylaric, then you're a liar. I recognized immediately when Best posted the screenshot of the tells you sent (saying you're not a druid or don't have it memorized or whatever) that you were the same person who claimed to have "deleted" it because you didn't like people asking you for SoW. Our Tank/PULLER wanted SoW, I think we were in Najena at the time. I think you eventually gave it to him but you still shouldn't have lied in the first place.

Now, obviously Best is pretty pathetic too - when you don't get what you want you shouldn't make things harder for the other group members. If the group was just you and Tylaric, then I would understand because he's an evasive ass, but since others were in the group it was majorly dickish to leave because of something only one group member was responsible for, when you could have resolved the issue like a mature human being by waiting a minute. Obviously players like Tylaric can be really frustrating, but you've yet to provide a reason as to how this was the best approach to the problem. Also, I agree, you probably have a two inch wiener.

Nice made-up story, bro. Najena is an indoors dungeon, so no one is going to be casting/receiving SoW in there.

Both Best and the original poster are jackasses. It is indeed true that this druid has pretended not to have sow - I grouped with him recently. He said he "deleted it" when our PULLER reasonably wanted sow. If you're a druid you don't lie to people who ask for sow, you can just say they don't need it (which is acceptable) or that you're out of mana. Be straight with people and things like this won't happen.

Sounds like you've never played a druid, and have never been invited to a a group for the sole purpose of sowing everyone and the group immediately disbands....time and time again.....

There has always been a degree of "druid envy" in Everquest. Everyone wants to benefit from druid skills (sow, chloro, DS, teleports, binds, etc), but no one wants to group with them. That can mentally and emotionally jade a druid who enjoys playing the game and the class, but can't stand the constant "sow pls" tells. I myself got to the point on live where I wouldn't sow people unless they literally typed out "May I please have a Spirit of Wolf buff?". My friends and guildies got it and understood, and were perfectly cool with it, but random douches in PUGs despised me, and the feeling was mutual. :P

Bottom line is that a "twinked" cleric should have had his own means of runspeed (cough JBoots) and you can't sow an encumbered cleric when you're oom and afk. Best seems like a sociopath, at any rate. I definitely won't be grouping with him.

Haha the funny thing is, is Tylaric could've been the biggest dick in the world, but the fact that Best said "when he asks for sow he gets one" referring to himself makes him a colossal faggot.

Going to be honest here,

If you choose to play a druid casting SoW/Chloro/DS and porting people to the group are part of your job in a group. Just because other groups may have taken advantage of you does not change the fact that these are your buffs and its your job in a group to cast them on people that need/want them. And not everyone has JBoots nor is it a requirement that everyone get Jboots to get a group, especially not in lowbie groups. If someone wants a damn sow in your group, cast the sow if you have mana or med enough to cast it.

Best was an asshole here but the OP was not exactly a victim eather. Best asked for the SoW before the OP went AFK. Even if he was OOM it would take all of 1 minute to med enough to SoW the guy, especially if he was about to go AFK for 15 minutes. ALL buffers should make sure everyone has their buffs before going afk for an extended period of time while being grouped.

1). It's called "when mana permits", or "WMP".

2). When nature calls, druids answer.....

3). The only "job" anyone has in this game is to enjoy themselves.

I think it's perfectly okay for a Druid to not cast SoW on people in their group unless it's needed. They have no obligation to buff people randomly. My point is that if you don't want to cast SoW on someone who doesn't need it, you should be straight with them, give them a good reason, and don't lie to them like Tylaric does. If people don't accept "you don't need it" as an acceptable reason, that's their problem.

I guess a point can be made that druids will just feel like douches for not giving group members SoW because they don't need it, but they really shouldn't, because as I said there's no obligation to hand out buffs to people just because they're grouped with you.

Lol, or not.

DEMANDING a SoW while in group is absolutely retarded. Asking politely because you're encumbered, and waiting patiently for one when he can spare the mana? That much is acceptable.

Agreed. While I don't agree with whining on the boards (sorry Volga). Best is a tool. Sit down, shut up and wait for him to get back from afk and then politely ask for him to give you a SoW.

Also what kind of shitty twink doesn't just have jboots. I know my twink cleric does. ^_^

This is the most important point in the entire thread.
