I really, really fucking hate classic Everquest. Quarm has been a lovely flashback to those days of hours of LFG. Like if you weren't *well* ahead of the pack, the leveling is brutal. Higher level people soar through levels and the people w/ the pack drown. I think I may be throwing in the towel at lv 17. Melees are discriminated against. I loathe pet classes and necro is not fun for me. Seems like there's no point in playing till Kunark+ besides the rush for legacy waiting line hell.

I really would love a DE rogue with guise, but no. Doing ranger / necro. I've never played classic classic before and level 30 on the easy class feels like too much of my soul invested, much less the melee.

I only made it to level 9 before deciding that Quarm wasn't for me. But I hope people on there are having a good time. I thought I wanted to play a bard, but when I created him, there were over 200 people in gfay, and there wasn't a mob in sight. Ended up making a shaman where there were only 90 people in zone. But it's all good. I hope everyone gets all the fun little items they've always wanted.

Not RTWF. That is already in the bag for ppl who share accounts and never sleep. If you jump into a new server with that mentality unprepared you are going to burn out.

People are right to wait for kunark or even luclin and pop if all they want to do is casual solo ish melee. Unless you really enjoy the challenge of say for example finding another rogue friend with combine weapons and duoing or a necro buddy who doesn't mind a little help out damaging their pets.

Seducio is right a lot of ppl who play TAKP already will flip flop back and forth. Etc...

It sounds like most of you on p99 here with years old mains are just done with EQ and you don't login to make batwing crunchies. Or new friends. You just log in to catch up with old friends and stare at dragon butts. You're prerogative butt. If you're bored and want something you can afk solo between scrubbing floors. Definitely recommend a wizard, druid, necro, mage, ench so on 3 years when luclin launches your body is ready and you've amassed yet another smol fortune in plat so you can play EZ mode without "having to interact with anyone" or wait for mobs while chit chatting with fellow elf bros.

If your desperate for groups and willing to make new friends and do the work social engineering.

Try a cleric, druid, or sham if you have never done either. Build a friends list and collection of ppl on discord of all sorts even if it's not that optimal trio. Now is an opportunity to experience a different facet of the game if your are willing. If not stay here and stare at your old toons waiting for batphones.

Help ppl catch up. Become the server daddy or mommy. Find newbs in EC and RP with them. Whatever.

It's sad to see how 2 dimensional people have become about "loot", "performance", leveling speed, power etc...

And PQ staff does something fun and it rained tears and tears from the competitive folks who didn't got lol. Instead of making videos and screenshots and stories about it like 30% of the folks involved just cried about how unfair...

Seeesh my dudes. The negativity Olympics in 2023 is off the charts. I hope Yahweh drops his mountains soon. Cannot wait for 2029 soon enough. At least I have a nostalgiac old new box with classic channeling code and melee calcs to play on that isn't as restrictive as p99. And full of robotic autism as TAKP g-d bless multiboxxers souls.
