i watched your video elsewhere, on reddit and posted it here as a troll joke video in off topics haha

At this point I dont know if you were trolling or not, but was a fun watch and laughed all the way till the end ...

If serious yep ... this is not a niche game, is even worse> this game is like the crinkler community in a furry con, ultra deep niche outsider stuff to be honest.

If trolling, it was a fun watch while I waited for spawns, please do more , this time about people in the raid scene or contested camps or heck, even the red server :P

If you don't have the patience to watch a 30 second video tutorial, how in the world are you going to have the patience to camp a critter for six hours till it drops the thing you need to make the thing for the fifth part of the quest that you have been working on for the past three weeks?

I am not sure EQ is the game for you.

I’ve spent about 65 hours accumulated camping rotten skeleton on my active green toon for like 1/10th of the pieces I need to complete a quest for a key.

This is a game measured in months or years.

Guys just to summarize what's going on here, OP has a shitty YouTube channel and is purposefully making a trolling video and posting it here and on the P99 subreddit in the hope that: 1. You will go watch it, thus increasing his view count, and 2. That he will ruffle your feathers so you will comment on this video. The combination of 1 and 2 increases his "engagement" metric that advertisers and things use to assess whether to give you and your channel money.

Just ignore him.

I started playing 2 days ago and I must tell you after spending 2 hours of my life making it work I am not surprised this server is not growing.

I documented my installation nightmare in this video for reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hx45I0DLvwg

How come nobody has streamlined the process yet? Not only there is no centralized way to know how to set up the whole thing (Neither this website or EqEmu's has all the info you need to do so) but most if not all my hassle could have been automated by a single installer.

I don't want to watch a 30 minute video to install the game, and neither does any potential new player.

Even if you make a condensed readable and to the point guide that "just works" the guide provided in this website is very awkwardly formatted and frankly tedious to navigate.

I may not be a member of this community but I beg you to listen to me; if you do not improve your How-to section and provide a proper Setup download this game will never grow.

Please don't look at this through the eyes of you who has been playing this game for 20 years, just imagine for a moment how awful this is for someone that never installed this game before and how avoidable this is.

Thank you for reading my very long rant
