Don't know how true it is, but games don't kill people. Just my opinion. I have been pretty depressed before myself but suicide.... c'mon.
I could spend the next 6 hours with a discussion on why your statement 'games don't kill people' is both correct and incorrect, but I have to go to a meeting soon. The short version is it's possible. Chemical reactions in the brain and whatnot.

So this article is essentially saying that Shawn Woolley killed hismelf not due to the game but because he had prolonged movement in his peripheral vision...really?

Yeah I am not agreeing with that article at all. I don't know how true or untrue it is but I thought it would give people something to read while staying on topic.

= felt shitty for 2 weeks?

Serious question. People who commit suicide while depressed have usually had a chronic clinical depression for over a year. I rarely see people who have even a basic understanding of the psychology behind it or that even know the difference between "feeling depressed" and suffering from a clinical depression. Message boards are usually the worst. See Koota and Taryth.

It's not a case of opinion, it's comprehending what a clinical depression is. Depression is not a disease but it's a mental disorder. You can loosely compare it to schizophrenia. People who suffer from a chronic clinical depression have a sick though pattern.

But too surrious for this board. You mad brah?

Nothing wrong with suicide in my book. It's your life, you can end it whenever you want. I mean, you gonna die anyway, might as well choose how and when. It's not like you're really gonna miss out on anything. I mean, another war or two, Steelers winning the Superbowl again... shit is BORING.

You make many assumptions Csihar. There's nothing I can really say to prove that I've been clinically depressed before. In lieu of a drawn out response, I'll simply state that I have personal experience- years of it.

Suicide is a choice. I've been there, and the fact that there are many people in the world who are currently depressed, and not dead, proves my point that depression is not a death sentence. It predisposes one to rash acts, such as suicide, but it is by no means a sure thing- and that's all I'm arguing against. I'm not belittling depression, or depressed people.

Totally different situation to make fun of an old sex pervert that died in an accident than it is to make fun of some kid who killed himself because he didn't want to be alone anymore.
I get what your saying. Course the highroad would to just not participate in this topic. However, I know you like being outspoken. Therefore I get it. With that being said and not to beat a dead horse or anything. But, "You mad bro?"
