The problem for the Democrats was Biden was probably one of the only candidates that could beat Trump.

Even though Trump is terrible, he would’ve beaten someone like Bernie. Biden was the perfect candidate from a contrast perspective; calm and collected centrist vs a crazy extreme right immature but job.
