Most of the games I played before 2005 were free. I still haven't bought that very many. Regret my wow subscription sometimes, but it's there for whatever reason I have.
Diablo2, was probalby the single biggest purchase of my life before the EQ addiction set in. Some how blizzard got me to spend so much money on diablo stuff. I even used a friends copy of starcraft, which i didn't use online at the time because the internet wasn't a thing. | ||

My favourite single player games are from the pre-PC days... Knight Tyme on the ZX Spectrum and Exile on the BBC Micro.
