  • Rogean: Resolved an issue where group heal spells were generating way more aggro than they should.
  • Rogean: Adjusted Rune spell aggro to be more in line with direct healing spells.
Two more notes I forgot to add.

I feel like this can be a game of "let people find the changes" and then you plug it into the patch notes

Watching people cry about not being able to play the game in a way that literally nobody played it in the old days is more fun than actually playing. Commend the staff and kunark seems like it will be even more fun seeing as people won't plvl themselves to 60 on wands which was inevitable.

List of things with a cast time now (not exhaustive):

Root nets
Golem metal wand
Prayers of Life
Midnight Mallets
Puppet Strings
Bladestopper
Nowadays everybody wanna talk like they got something to say
But nothing comes out when they move their lips
Just a bunch of gibberish
And motherbleepbloops act like they forgot about dReaper.

I just think it's funny staff continues to repeat that this is all in the name of recreating classic. Like, just cop to the idea that you wanted to make a custom server as you saw fit. Why repeat the classic argument when it is only "classic" when convenient.

One could argue that the devs here are emulating what the original devs were known for, as are the players.

Item added to game. Players find unintented use for. That use is observed by guides and brought to the attention of devs. Item is earmarked for nerf. Then comes patch day. And, as it was in classic, here are the community reactions.

All these people in here praising these changes when they have never tanked a mob, or ripped a pull, or are even able to begin to comprehend what these clickies even do or why they are necessary. These changes won't even effect you, and yet you are happy that they were made. Can someone explain why they are so happy about these changes? Give me an example of how your "classic" experience was wronged by an instant or rechargeable click item?

I know i'm just feeding the trolls at this point, but it's frustrating. Implementing changes that people may think are minor when they are really fucking major. This shit changes the entire raid scene. (In before "the raid scene is toxic anyway, you are the reason this server is shit blah blah" - The raid scene IS toxic, but this sure as shit won't help that.. unless the goal is to have everyone quit that isn't in the top zerg guild on the server, or join it)

Just because you want to casually play EQ, and you think that a wand or a root net is unbalanced, doesn't mean that there aren't thousands of other people in the raid scene who absolutely need aggro clickies, and other items, to succeed and sustain.

I don't usually post about any of this shit, but this one got me worked up.

To the trolls, you are welcome. To the rest, I can only hope my "bitchy" posts actually make a fucking difference.
