Generally I port noobs for 5p or even free and I'm content with it, but it's fun to watch level 60's drop all their gear into the inventory and ask for a CR port. I used to imitate gating away while in fact using Hide skill and watch the said guy put his armor on right away :P

So it goes both ways, yes you might sometimes find a rude player in DaP (and generally try to deal with it within guild when it goes overboard), but don't forget we don't port for tips, but rather provide a paid service.

I once saw someone in EC charging 20pp to bind in freeport. Seems kinda ridiculous to me.

I have never had a bad experience with Dial a Port. I have a cleric, a necro and a druid. The druid is level 58, and I sometimes port people on him, when I'm bored. I don't accept tips from people below level 20, and if they tell me up front they don't have any money, I will often port for free, especially for a CR.

Dial a Port does an important service to this server and community. I am NOT in Dial a Port, but I am certain that if you let one of their officers know about the bad service, the problem will be resolved.

This is exactly right. My Druid is in Dial A Port. It can get very hectic. I try to be polite to everyone, I try to sow everyone, i never charge a set price, just click accept to whatever is offered in trade window or /tell. I know most members of the guild also strive to be polite. That being said, if you truly have a grievance with a member, alert a DaP officer or guild member. I can assure you, it does get dealt with.

I hired a DAP druid to port me to NK and succor across WK. When we arrived at Qeynos Hills ZL, I handed him 4 star rubies. He cancels trade claiming no bag space and bitches about me not having "actual plat" at level 60. I guess deleting a stack of fruit or roots wasn't worth 250pp worth of gems.

I offered to meet him in EC on my tunnel mule if he'd prefer. He told me to "forget it". Much later that evening we were in ToV and I get a tell from him letting me know he was in the tunnel and ready for me to log over and pay him. At least half a day had elapsed at that point.

Who the hell carries plat at level 60?
