I'm going to assume this is just a friendly response and not a justification to why you had MQ loaded while playing on project 1999. It's been understood that third party programs such as MQ are forbidden here since the beginning, regardless of what methods they used to detect them were made public. This shit is common sense. This server, believe it or not, bends too much when it comes to people violating rules. Other servers are not so forgiving and don't really care about your feelings or immersion level.
You must know everything.

Haha. I'm not without fault. I wasn't trying to make you look like an asshole, or the OP. Everyone makes mistakes, man. My point is just that the rules were always there in place.

Just saying it isn't always as it seems.

The rules didn't seem to say that you couldn't use your computer for anything other than P99 or else you run the risk of eating a ban.
Meaning no MQ farming on EZserver while medding your wiz on p99. Funny thing was I had logged off EZ and just forgot to close it.

Dumb mistake, I admit

And rightfully so. The OP deserved what he got as well if he had MQ loaded. You need to operate under the rules of the server, or prepare to suffer the consequences. That's basically what it comes down to. The neanderthals talking out of their ass about mq being a hacking program used on other server most likely have no idea how other servers operate and what's required to function on them. Don't be a neanderthal talking out of your ass. Obey the rules and you won't get banned.

What? I feel like you have downs. Plenty of other servers ENCOURAGE the use of MQ. This guy didn't know he had to have the program completely closed before coming here. Now he knows. I doubt his MQ was even injected into his active Everquest while on p99.

Read the entire thread before making yourself look foolish.

Casuals obey the rules, the immersed whine/bitch/complain if something didnt go their way and most of all they try to bend and lawyer the rules as much as possible.
Correct. Although I would'nt call the opposite to casuals immersed. Use of 3rd party programms is quite the opposite of immersion.

I'm here to happily play the game as it was intended. I don't even know what MQ is - apart from multiquesting, which I also don't do because it's not supported.

If i remember correctly, MQ is a "packet sniffer" that reads the info comming into your client and can tell you, among other things, exactly where and when any mob in the zone pops and allows you to transport your character directly to those coordinates by some magic to which I am not privy.

I have seen it on Live. You and your friends have been camping a boss mob for hours, killing all the ph's while you wait. The Boss pops and before you can engage, some twinked out high level character pops in and steals your kill, loots the Epic piece you were after and disappears.

One of the reasons I left Live.
