this thread went over several forum nerd's heads in a single bound. Between this and the dragon thread I'd say Friends winning the fq game.

i simply want a server that isn't focused around a few very insane individuals ruining it for everyone else

it would appear at this point that a lot of these azrael people have an obsession with "revenge gearing" against people who are banned and/or do not play here anymore

the brain rot is real

Regardless of how you guys feel, a majority of the server does not want to wake up before noon on a Sunday. My idea would be to spread King Tormax, Dain, Yelinak, Vulak'Aerr, and Dozekar the Cursed to different days entirely, and try to keep them in a more primetime slot. These are the only mobs that most of the raid scene cares about, and keeping them all on one day only promotes a winner-take-all environment that existed with Empire around. I think we all know that whoever won that King Tormax fight on repop day took every single raid mob thereafter 19 out of 20 times. When one side loses, many people often get demoralized and log off for the day, and then they have to wait 6 more days until they get another shot at any of the mobs they care to fight over. I believe that having the important raid mobs several different days of the week will keep more people logging in even if they lost the previous fight. It will create far more opportunities for mass PvP, thus lowering the odds that one guild will keep everything on lockdown.
.
Those mobs you listed are killed on the servers prime time est / cst stop crying you want the mobs moved out of prime time

Just off the top of my head.. Since Thursday, 18 raid targets have been up all weekend.

How do you not understand this?

what's really holding the server back, is how divided the opposition playerbase is. there are more than enough players who aren't in empire, to kill these mobs (which empire often leaves up) and even more than enough to contest empire on more valued targets. but it will never happen because tmo/casual/friends don't get along with each other. too many bitter nerds and petty grudges out there for two guilds to work together to achieve a common goal.
Here's a story that's sad but trueeee. Targets have been left up since velious released, but people holding grudges from years ago, or lack the ability to differentiate pvp and griefing etc are huge downfalls for "The Resistance".
