Most people's goal is to feel good about themselves and what they have done. It is you that chooses to measure yourself against them and feel like it is happening at your expense. What is wrong is people thinking that others should be brought down to their level so they don't feel bad about their accomplishments. You want to rob someone of the sense of accomplishment at achieving a goal because you aren't secure enough to understand their accomplishment isn't about you.

What fosters relationships and friendships is acceptance and tolerance for differences.

With the exceptions of Nexus travel and the bazaar, Luclin was a fantastic expansion. It's truly a shame we won't ever get the beastlord class, Ssra Temple, or shorty hybrids here.

The Bazaar wasn't open at the start of Luclin, if I recall correctly. I remember running through the area going: "holy crap what is this for."

I liked the Beastlord class, made one and played though the starter quests (which I liked a lot).

I think though, it also brought some popular hunting areas that were perhaps a little to easy to level in (based on them being preferred leveling spots many years later). I'm not sure what the implications are to gameplay and balance.

Because working towards a goal is what has driven people to play games for thousands of years. Game: a form of play or sport, especially a competitive one played according to rules and decided by skill, strength, or luck.

For the average person, you won't get far as a capitalist if your goal is to make money. The vast majority are focused on creating something that people will want and need. It is you that chooses to focus on a few who measure success by their wealth.


But everyone is not equal, they have different strengths and weaknesses, different goals and objectives, and no amount of giving equal rewards will make them equal.

I have more faith in those who don't get the best gear. I do not believe they are as petty as you seem to think they are. They understand why we don't just make everyone equal by making them max level when they log in. They know that certain bragging rights come with being level 50, just as certain bragging rights come with obtaining difficult to obtain gear. People come to games to have goals laid out for them and barriers to their accomplishment, it is what games have always been about.[/QUOTE
