I disagree on your cycle assertion and the right way to compete. Particularly in velious I think it will be hard for an azrael style guild to compete as constructed, which pisses me off because I want vibrant pvp. So when I see hokuten make terrible mistakes like they are now it's frustrating.

Your members won't be like "OMG fuck these Nihi guys, let's play 12 hours a day and keep trying to gear up to stop them!" - any legit new blue players (probably very few) will get bored and tired of dying because their leader can't shut the fuck up on forums.

What different progression paths are you talking about? Step 1 kill in Kael. Step 2 hit HoT with appropriate faction to CoV. Step 3 work on North, kill Zlandi, Klandi, King T, Derakor, and eventually Yelinak. Get ToV geared while farming said mobs and getting key pieces for your members to enter ST.

Isn't that roughly accurate? I admit my memory is a little fuzzy this long after live.

What I'm getting at is that there won't be many mobs in Velious that Nihi won't need and/or kill anyways. Are these guys supposed to contest in thurg or kael quest armor?

What terrible mistakes? Having Jib as a guild leader? He made the guild. Do you not recall all the posts about the only people who could lead a guild would be those willing to neck-beard and put int massive amounts of time but also have enough experience to lead the events?

There is a pretty fucking narrow group of people for this. Sounds to me like an excuse to grief any guild that might be a competition off the server, but I guess we all know that.
