I'd hope you'd realize that there is nothing "1999" about the behavior here. EverQuest players back then were tremendously more respectful to each other. Or at least the assholes weren't as vocal. Having forums to post on doesn't help.

It is sad how nerds on the internet are more oppressed than homosexuals or minorities in real life, because they get demonized for using words like faggot to make someone feel bad.

When will people learn that using those words on forums isn't a choice.

the truth I need to realize is tho, we will always have socially inept youths intermingled with intelligent people in places like this because we are playing a giant toy video game.

I just hope that the vast majority would jump on people down voting them immediately discrediting anything they have to say if they choose to use these words in a place where they may be speaking directly to someone who has had a much harder life, because of those words.
