Every EQ server has a kind of global attitude: some were more carebear (in the modern day, EQMac) and others are cutthroat (P1999). I think from the beginning the staff (especially Sirken and Derubael, but Rogean has always been for competition as well. Nilbog seems to not care as long as the quests work) have encouraged a competitive attitude here, and that attitude percolates down from the top until we have people being dicks in Mistmoore.

I suspect the vast majority of the server would prefer a GM enforced rotation, but perhaps the GMs feel its boring when you own an anthill and the ants don't go crazy in RNF.
How about you stop being a beta and grow a pair?

there is nothing more beta than joining tmo and responding to implicit demands from loser guildmates to be available for elf activities

We don't want to restrict the way people play the game. If everyone agreed a rotation was best, we would do that, but there are lots of different views on what's fun and what's not and we're going to allow for all of that to exist on p99.

I know that I definitely don't enjoy the drama that comes up in RnF. But thanks for implying that we have the raid rules set up like this simply for entertainment rather than to make sure that the hardcores and the casuals both have a place to play. Casuals make up a little over 2/3rds of the raid scene, with hardcores being a little less than a third. We're not going to alienate that other third just to appease 'the majority'.

Did you really just state that the casuals were a textbook majority, then put majority in quotes?

If this is the only thing you found wrong with my post then I'd say I'm happy.

Why are you in RnF? thats what I want to know...

If you wanna argue with the village idiots you should turn that name back to blue.

It's funny when you ( the officers and staff ) began this rotation class system and terms were agreed to by all parties, it was decree'd by Rogean that those rules would be enforced by the staff. If you think that would take away from the time you spend for free helping code or research or go though petitions then I suggest you drop ur RnF time into the rotation enforcement.

I guess that went over your head a bit.

The whole R/C/FFA system was created to limit the ability of Class C to fuck with Class R. However, because you feel that griefing people is some sort of playstyle or emotionally healthy life choice (the mind boggles), you are doing everything you can to blur those boundaries and allow this to continue.

Since this ridiculous position advances to borderline insanity when you consider that the filthy casuals make up a majority of players in the endgame (by the way, I bet that majority is even higher now that the Class R/C system is in place. Fascinating stuff, isn't it) you feel the need to put majority in quotes to emphasize that fact that you don't give a fuck about Class R except as far as they provide targets for Class C.

Don't take this criticism personally, but it sure feels like you're alienating the majority to appease the minority. How is that better?

Hello Anon Troll, is there any particular reason I should be offended by you labeling me with a greek letter?
