It wasn't more than one month ago that on repop day it was 38 Azrael vs 22 Nilly in KC. Did lite tell his crew "Hey guys, we're quite the zerg right now, can some log off?". Hell no they came into KC, f'd us up and /ooc'd and posted on the boards how dominant they were.

After a slew of losses Azrael is no longer willing to fight on repop day. Don't let their cries of zerg make you feel sorry for them. They fielded 48 vs our 52 on the last repop day that they tried to contest. Joining Azrael does not mean you are in some David vs Goliath. It is Goliath vs Goliath right now, but one of them is sad and not willing to fight.

As far as OP is concerned, both guilds have huge flaws. Neither is close to as fun as classic EQ guilds were, at least in my opinion. Voice Chat has ruined gaming, and reduced peoples skill. In live, people had to react to fucked up pulls and mechanics without relying on Typical_Cursing_Shouting_Guildleader01 to drop multiple f bombs on them and hold their hands. People seem far more rustled here on both sides 24/7 than I ever remember on live, and this includes periods on live of great douchebaggery such as cockblocking RZTW.

Ultimately, if your goal is to slay big dragons in NToV, your only option will be Nihilum. There are some obnoxious people, but that's the same in every guild in every video game ever [and the same in real life such as that annoying cousin and co-worker]. Unlike real life though, you can mute and /ignore these people. Despite the propaganda, Nihilum is "fair", I've never had an issue with loot or anything like that. I'm not a fan of the "drop a bunch of curse words on people" method of leading, but it seems like everyone does that these days. Good luck.

It makes items more valuable, makes plenty of no drop items more desirable that serve no purpose currently, balances casters against melee's as melee's now need to risk resist gear vs. them, cuts down on Fungi twinks as they're risking Fungis vs Short Sword*'s, etc., etc.

I remember killing a fully twinked lvl 8 when he went Linkdead on my mage back in classic on rallos. Getting that mithrill breastplate launched me forward greatly. I really was disappointed there was no item loot on this server when I decided to play here.
