IB and FE wanted to merge to be stronger for Velious. Both guilds made demands and apparently neither side was willing to compromise.

So, that's all relatively normal, but what's fucked up is FE merging with TMO over it.

I am so excited to see that FE and TMO can work together at this point. We all know it started out a bit differently, but I think eventually a lot of people realized that we all really do have quite a bit in common. There's a lot of respect on the table between our guilds from the last 16 months of fun we've had going at it; when you deal with IB, it's mostly just disrespect, and I think a lot of people forgot (or never knew) about how they were (mostly a bunch of pretentious fuckwads) before they RMTed out of here for whatever reason.

people must be thinking theyre coming back hard and want to be able to jump ship and join them.

Well you're half right. I'm sure the real story will come out eventually. Basically Chest has it wrong, or backwards, and Jeremy has it right.
