Malazan is on my to-read list. You should check out the Wheel of Time series, if you don't mind starting a massive series, they are pretty good, im on book three so far.
It's all downhill from there. Stopped reading at book 7 I think. But I hear Brandon Sanderson saved the series with the last few books.

Just finished the first two books in Patrick Rothfuss' Kingkiller Chronicles.

I got almost the same feeling after reading these as when I finished reading the first few WoT or ASOIAF books. Really looking forward to the 3rd and final book when it comes out in a few months.

Yeah the Wheel of Time is definitely on my to read list, cheers. Malazan is totally worth a read, although Erikson is a long winded dude its worth reading the series for Deadhouse Gates and Memories of Ice alone.

I did audiobooks, I couldn't imagine reading hundreds of pages of woman arguing, talking about the lace on their dresses and tugging braids

Only time audiobooks are acceptable are if you're taking a long car trip, or if you're blind imo. Personally i find the physical act of reading enjoyable and it ruins it for me when i hear some narrator doing character voices and stuff.

I read so freaking much tech stuff and text books for school.
I enjoy zoning out to a good audiobook to relax
