I was banned today solely for things I said in OOC. I know this because I didn't have a chance to pvp much at all.
Things I said: "I'll probably quit as soon as I see bans are actually being enforced for this trash." "I'm going to push the envelope of the pnp rules until I get banned" "I'm going to rape ppl in pvp" "No I mean I'm literally going to rape ppl using /emote" "I don't understand why you guys put up with pnp. You should just let them ban everyone" "My introduction to this server was being bind camped by a guy 4 levels above me grouped with a RD bard. If that doesn't get you banned than I don't know what will." "Holy shit do you guys realize what you're saying?" This chat of mine was in response to what people said in OOC. Context I cannot accurately provide. It could have been any of those, but not much more. Proud? Not really, but I certainly expected my ban to come in the form of disobeying pnp rules... not talking about it. I've seen a lot worse said than what I said in the one day I played here. In short I support the idea of disabling global OOC. It would be a lot simpler than banning players who abuse it. Only reason I can see to keep it in is so GM's can keep a log that can be used for grounds of more bans. Global OOC kills.

Does seem kind of unreal doesn't it? My ban was so swift and so uncaring it blows my mind.
Maybe someone can vouch for my existence since I wasn't exactly quiet in OOC, but if not, I don't really care.

I've had some support and been offered some plvl to come back due to the way my ban was handled, but my answer is no thanks until the pnp rules are modified or the dust clears on the current ones and gm's cool it with the insta-bans. Only posting here because OOC is what ruined it for me.
Oh and also as sort of a how to on getting banned... what not to say if you value your character.

So this magi guy publicly shit on the rules in ooc, said he wouldn't follow them, and then is surprised he got banned? Am I missing something?

You're right. I went pretty far with my OOC over the span of about 1 hr. I was basically laying out that I would try to push the limits of pnp before a ban is given.
The only thing I am surprised about is that it was such a short limit. The story has some lesson in it somewhere that I'm sharing for, if not anything else, a warning to players here to keep their mouth's shut.

So you stated you wouldn't follow the rules, made a big to do about it in ooc, and then were surprised when the ban hammer came? Peace.
