Confirmation bias (also called confirmatory bias or myside bias) is the tendency of people to favor information that confirms their beliefs or hypotheses. Confirmation biases contribute to overconfidence in personal beliefs and can maintain or strengthen beliefs in the face of contrary evidence. Poor decisions due to these biases have been found in political and organizational contexts.
The same people from Nihilum who you threw under the bus only a few months ago in AIM Chat for RMT / Boxing etc., are now the people you defend viciously on the boards. I on the other hand have been an honest assessor since day 1, which caught me a lot of heat in Nihilum.

Except you're blatantly distorting facts such as 50% loot / merges, and lying by saying things like Lite stripped Freez, when it's been proven on the forums by GM's no less, that it was Agatha <nihilum>.

Confirmation biases can be used to explain why some beliefs persist when the initial evidence for them is removed.[44] This belief perseverance effect has been shown by a series of experiments using what is called the "debriefing paradigm": participants read fake evidence for a hypothesis, their attitude change is measured, then the fakery is exposed in detail. Their attitudes are then measured once more to see if their belief returns to its previous level.[43]
A common finding is that at least some of the initial belief remains even after a full debrief.[45] In one experiment, participants had to distinguish between real and fake suicide notes. The feedback was random: some were told they had done well while others were told they had performed badly. Even after being fully debriefed, participants were still influenced by the feedback. They still thought they were better or worse than average at that kind of task, depending on what they had initially been told.[46]

And your context is b.s. Mellowyellow didn't do the things you claim, and you're not a vigilante soldier. Supreme is honest enough to admit what you did was a scummy move.

It is what it is HB. U had something good going with RD and this holier-than-thou guild mantra but then u let the cancer join you guys. It's only going to split the promise of RD up. You claim nilly shitty for X Y X but ur doing the same by inviting all the boxing and greedy ass hats u would talk shit about 2 weeks ago. All sides have the same atmosphere and the new guild with new philosophy had promise so it's dissapointing to see you throw it away.
Hope I'm wrong but I'm probably not. Azrael will burn your guys out and then Azrael will quit leaving you to put the pieces back together. | ||
