My actual beef with Nihilum in general (and the leadership more specifically)

Look, Nihilum players started on this server just like the rest of us. They don't owe anyone anything, and nobody here is entitled to anything.

I see nothing wrong with them playing the "evil empire" role on this server. I don't even think that is bad for the server. The issue is the other side, the lack of any organized resistance and the fact nearly every mid level guild does nothing except attack each other. Your guild chased a small group I had going out of the spectre camp in Feerott last night for example. IMO that is a waste of everyone's time, but that is only my opinion. Some people come here to do nothing but PVP at any level, I'm personally focused on getting max level and pvping at that point.

Who exactly are the "friendly guilds" Nihilum would put alts in? The only mid level guilds I see running around now are FoH (who attack anyone on site), Charles Bronson (do the same), KWSN (brand new to the server) and Neriak Strip Club, your former(?) guild who are small but seem to be non hostile.

Are you suggesting they form a feeder guild, toss their alts in it and basically plvl up a force to fight later on?

Direct your hate toward the 55+ non Nilly crowd who refuse to organize a decent resistance, and guilds like your own who do far more to cripple new/leveling up players than any other guild on the server.

I just don't understand your argument bro. It seems like you're saying Nihilum should take an active roll in building their own competition. And Nihilum's defense against what? I think their role on the server is pretty clear, being the top PVE guild that the majority who want to do the PVE game will be drawn to.

I guess if your complaint is against human nature in general (following the path of least resistance) I can understand that, but again...it's human nature why would you expect any different?

The simple fact of the matter is people aren't choosing to Nihilum vs. another similar guild. The choice as it exists right now is if I want to do any PVE I join Nihilum, period. There isn't another option, which is the point I've been trying to make. If your argument is "people who want loot are lame" then you picked the wrong game. This game is 100% about loot, there is no other form of character progression. If you like EQ PVP and don't want to participate in the PVE game there are servers out there that give you a level 60 and your choice of gear and you go duke it out FPS style.

Sorry man, I respect you but I read this post as more of an anti EverQuest post then anti-Nihilum.

And for the record, I have the same outside view as you do. I'm not Nihilum, I'm not anybody. I solo 95% of the time and don't have any allegiances outside of friends I knew coming into Red and the ones I've met along the way. I see the exact same problems you see, and I don't disagree there is a problem. But I guess where we do disagree is who is at fault, or even if there is fault to be given. My limited view based solely on what I've experienced since coming to red:
1. I've had direct interaction with Nihilum a total of one time (at least on a tagged toon) and it was a cleric who exp rezzed me after I died in Cazic Thule.
2. I've had 0 direct interaction with anyone in Azrael (again, tagged) outside of Agatha who seems like a genuinely decent person (and I realize he isn't in Az anymore, but regardless).
3. I've been KoS'd by every FoH aside from Floozy, managed to live through the attacks thus far but I'll get dropped eventually.
4. I've been randomly attacked by a few untagged people, nothing out of the ordinary.
5. I've grouped with/leveled along side Knights of Say Ni, Neriak Strip Club and probably a few other smaller mid level guilds and untagged people without incident.

So just from my limited perspective here, which guild am I looking at as the enemy? Don't take what I'm saying about FoH personally. You guys are doing what you want to do and I respect that. But you made a post blaming all the server problems on another guild when a lot of the problems you listed are more indicative of your own guild rather than the one you're criticizing, specifically in this paragraph:
