If the GM said no fucks why not change it to something else? Die TMO , Screw TMO, or TMO sucks would have just as much impact as Fuck TMO no? As far as doing something drastic when quitting, I believe I deleted all of my necro's gear when I quit Live back in the day, to prevent myself from starting again. When my little brother quit a few months before I did, I sacced his mage down to 55.
