That's why americans seem to prosper a lot quicker than the rest of the world. We are grown up in a society that educates the individual american that we are all special and unique in our own ways while in other countries tell their children that no one is special or unique.

America was always based on the success of the individual. It's no mystery why the US seems to dominate all opposition.

Kag you come off as a jackass in this, reapin never lost his temper in any of his posts, but in everyone of of your you start it with some variation of "no you're wrong because I'm right and I know it." Not very graceful of you.

It's pretty objectively cowardly.
Yes, yes, you're "facing the unknown" and all of that. But there's also a definitive "known" right there in front of you (life), that you're incapable of dealing with. If you set off for an unknown because you're unable to cope with and endure the known, then that is certainly not courageous. | ||

There's exceptions to everything. Is it selfish? Yes. But I can say as a parent, if I lost one of my kids it would be hard to go on. I see no heroism in it though.

Learning is painful for some. They tend to flail about like a fish out of water when contemplating things that disturb them or threaten the foundation of their currently held beliefs.
