Where specifically did you try the charm part?

EQ Mac's version of the Kael Quest mobs is going to be the later version of superbuffed version of the armor quest givers.
Skyshrine, the night we found the halls of testing. So, February-ish after release?

Not really. Lasted at least until March, and I have some screenshots that go out till April.

You do not lose Kromzek faction killing Kromrif

this was how i was in a Kromzek Giant guild ( killed Yelinak etc) but did the Coldain shawl

i could of done the shawl first then went to giants but i was young n we didnt kno it would have FT. Anyway i was Max KOS to dwarfs n killed tons of Frost giants n wolves in GD to gain Coldain faction but not lose Kromzek faction as I contined to do quests w Giants and roam parts of Kael freely. Eventually I was KOS to Frost giants but loved by Dwarf n Storm giants n of course hated by Dragons

( note what maybe happened was i was still killing dragons to keep my Zek faction high to offset killing the frost giants. Im not sure but i just remember seeing what I did as an obv way to fix dwarf for shawl but stay alligned with my guilds factions. I do not think I would have pursued the dwarf faction if i saw it wreck by storm giant faction at the same time. )

any other similar experiences?

I can test this on live today if you're willing to accept that as proof. I can't imagine that the faction hits have changed.

Some have. Most of the mobs in Skyshrine have moved. I could do it on Test myself, but doesn't help the current cause. And the mobs in Kael don't have the original faction requirements.

Also quest npcs behind Tormax were on Storm Giant faction

the problem was you couldnt get back there without Tormax faction bc he sees invis

the dragon armor and dwarf armor dont require Yelinak n Dain so the Giant armor didnt require Tormax, except for reaching the quest room. I forgot what faction u needed to do them

You are incorrect. Originally they did require Dain, Tormax and Yelinak factions.

I played EQ when velious was current and I never remember armor quests requiring leader factions. That must have been changed very quick after release if that's true.

I don't remember what faction they were on initially, but I know they were changed in the level of faction required because there were so many ways to get indifferent faction without actually factioning. You had sneak, charm, and hide turnins (btw does hide turn ins work here? Basically open a trade window rhen hit hide and turn in as indiff faction). The eq clerics link also confirms charm turnins.

You have to have ally status w/ the folks of the city where you want to do the armor quests.

I am ally in Thurg and can get any class's armor quests simply by hailing the appropriate NPC.

Kill Frost Giant Scouts or Drakkel Dire Wolves in The Great Divide. That will raise your Coldain faction up.

so maybe they changed it within the first couple months which on this server bc of this velious delay are we really gonna have to wait half a year to get the quest factions where it should properly end up? I dont think the basic class armor quests ever required the bosses ( besides sneaking by Tormax as i mentioned) i will show u more proof later but im on my phone at work, where is your info that its on the boss faction ?

One post is from August, the other is After Luclin released & wouldn't apply ever. There are other posts in this thread already that indicate the time line.
