Rabbits? Eggs? Maybe it has to do with fertility, like the Esther festival that existed thousands of years before the first christian Roman emperor decided to modify it to use as another tool to assert control over the masses that now worshiped heyzeus.

Easter is derived from the Middle English word 'ester', which in turn is derived from the Old English 'eastre'. An ancient pagan goddess.

The ancient Goddess Eastre, also known as Ishtar, was really a worship of sex, and intercourse.

In the temples on the earliest Easter Sundays the ladies would come to the temple with only their Easter bonnets on.

This is a good time to bring up the point that being an Atheist/Agnostic does not necessarily require someone to be intelligent or to use logic. Case in point above.
