Accurate. The war has only ever been on cocaine and marijuana. A joke party drug that nobody likes and a sleep aid.

The DEA realizes the physical need people can develop as well as the addiction to the high and that doctors agree removing opiates/opiods too soon causes criminal behavior and/or violent crime.

And so the most heinous drug has been ignored by the "war on drugs"
