The purpose behind not teaming up during a war is for guilds who cannot muster a force to kill their war within 24 hours to either get a guild they want to share a slot with or bow out of the rotation. Maybe that legal technicality of waiting until it's a few minutes past 24 hours, making it FFA absolves you from the need to adhere to the teams agreed upon in the rotation works in the LawyerQuest courts of Sirken and Judge Judy, but when you're dealing with player formed agreements they are built upon a certain amount of trust one and other will honor the spirit of the agreement. In this case, they did not honor that agreement by having two different entities who occupy different rotation slots team up for one of their wars. This was explicitly forbidden from my understanding otherwise Europa, Omni and Azure Guard could each individually claim a slot, and team up. Or in the case as you describe, each claim a slot, wait 24 hours and then turn in 1 minute past the hour, teaming up and "breaking no rules". "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should" comes to mind. Should Awakened have seen this and then killed the miracle pop in VP, eh probably not. Should Aftermath have done the war on their own or agreed to share a slot with Rustle, yes they should've. But I'm just a guy, on the outside looking in. Like everyone else in this thread, I probably don't have a clue what I'm talking about. I'll leave you with my solution to this: #JoinPhinigel #InstancedRaidingForNoQQ #17YearOldGamePixels

![]() Irony is when you have ten thousand spoons but all you need is a joint.
I think that sums things up pretty well.

![]() Yep and last time it went FFA after 24-hours and Awakened turned in Detoxx immediately posted in the raid discussion thread claiming the rotation was over... Even though as you stated, "that's the rule y'all wrote".
http://www.project1999.com/forums/sh...02&postcount=3 So apparently when it's in the rules, and the rules were followed in this case where 24 hours passed and FFA Badain still is up, and it's black and white as you say, they still claimed the rotation is over? Seems to just have been following the rules as they were written?

![]() I'm gone from the server. I just exist on the forums to continue pursuing classic EQ in the bug forums, push for real raid content in the form of Luclin and PoP, and apparently to comment on how dumb this servers raid scene is.

Leapfrogging an already set up raid force shortly after the 24 hour limit passed, while technically allowable, is a dick move. Likewise, waiting until shortly after the 24 hour limit passed, and teaming up with another guild to do your ring war on a Sunday afternoon, because you don't have the force to do it, while it may technically be allowed, is a dick move. If you're not big enough to be able to do a Ring War in the 24 hours following a pop on your own, team up with a guild and share a slot, or bow out entirely. Otherwise you're occupying a slot in a rotation you're not capable of doing in a timely manner delaying everyone else's turn in the rotation. There is a reason those 24 hour and team up rules are in place. Trying to bypass them isn't going to be very agreeable to the other guilds who adhere to them. Especially when even if you follow them, and take an FFA spawn (although in a dickish way) you're still met with QQ.
