I fail to see why that's such a hard thing to believe. Wars are fought by completely regular guys. Most enlisted personnel are young people from working class backgrounds. He posted his CAC card; I highly doubt that was forged. I don't get this line of criticism at all.

This means nothing other than the fact that he made it through training. As he stated himself, he was in the national guard, last time I checked the national guard didn't have too many, if any, actual combat arms units. So if he was as he said a medic, he most certainly was not a line medic in a combat arms unit(aka combat medic). Also training for a medic totals to about 6 months, the same amount of time you would get automatically promoted to E-2, his ID clearly shows that he is an E-1.

Hence my line of criticism being that he using the "I served my country" line of defense which means very to me at least when he is clearly lieing, or exaggerating what hes actually done.

I can think of a couple other possibilities. While it's certainly possible that he washed out or medicaled out during school, Finawin seems like a hothead to me. It's entirely possible that he went off on someone and got demoted.

To me the bottom line is that we just don't really know. Maybe he's full of shit, maybe not. I think I'll go for a walk.
