My local Safeway regularly offers wild caught salmon (usually sockeye) in season for $8.00 - $9.00 per pound for club members (yes my grocery data is being mined). Oddly the farmed Atlantic crap is generally more in the $10.00 - $12.00 range. Maybe it is because the farmed filets are usually larger than he sockeye filets? I agree, tastes like ass though and I won't eat it ^^. I rarely see Alaskan king, but when I do it generally costs more than the farmed Atlantic stuff ^^
Humans are so doomed. I don't think we even know what we're really eating anymore unless we catch or kill it ourselves, and even then, who knows?

I bet that a few years in the future they'll find out why autism, mental health problems, and god knows what other diseases/disorders appear to be so epidemic with more and more cases popping up constantly. And it will be mostly because of all the shit they're doing to our food.

No doubt about it, the air we breathe, the water we drink and the quality of the food we eat (and the quality of what the food was eating before it was food) is dropping.

Old people here make it to 80 a lot, 90 if they've really looked after themselves - not sure we'll make it that far.

Do you live in China or something? Across the west, things like air/water quality are on the rise, and while many still choose to eat processed foods and shit like taco bell, there's a big push for healthier alternatives, the entire organic foods movement, etc.

Just as one example, here's a look at air quality in the US as measured by four common pollutants.

Great post by orruar, some of you just are either poor (sorry I'm blunt), or uneducated on how to navigate a capitalist market.

Capitalism gives you many choices, including snake oil. Its not anyones fault but your own for not doing your homework.

I go so far as to telephone the organic company and ask more specifically where its being grown/harvested, cross-check it against the Superfund EPA database which provides specific data across thousands of former industrial sites and other resources (stuff grown in/remotely near toxic soil is worse than any additives that Big Farm industry and Monsanto can come up with, arguably)

"I don't have the time for all that" Yeah nobody does in 2015 while being worked to death under the yolk. Many don't realize until you point it out to them that it isn't a 9-5, its a 14 hour day when you factor in commute and preparation. Europeans are smarter about this. Americans have access to Adderall like candy so no big deal I guess. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Oh yummm. Wild-caught Alaskan King salmon is my most favorite food ever. If I could, I'd eat it every day. It's expensive but I refuse to eat the farmed shit from the east coast so I splurge once or twice a year and buy some filets from Vital Choice (the company I linked up above).

I hate to say it but I think if you bought your salmon for $3.50 a pound they might be pulling one over on you and passing off farmed and dyed pink to look more like the real thing. That happened to me before. The real wild caught pacific salmon sells for $10 - $12 a pound (or something like that) in a grocery store. If I'm wrong just tell me to shut up. Lol

For more info: CLICKY HERE.
lol i post an article about seas being empty of fish and what comes up in them heads is ok now im hungry for some wild salmon

thats why were fucked, dumb fuckers addicted to their way of life, unable to stop even if it means condemning children and their children to ecological apocalypse.
