I think a good parent should instill a sense of right and wrong, honor, whatever u wanna call it. I think a good parent should instill honesty, work ethic/discipline, compassion. None of it costs money to teach, and really a lot of it is just leading by example. Just do it and the kid will see you do it and copy. I think kids know when a parent is more of a do as I say not as I do, type of person I think if some of those qualities aren’t there, even if that kid gets a bunch of money, that kid could be likely to blow through that money eventually as an adult and be back to square 1…

We have to regulate social media because it's revealing how bad we are at parenting in this country lol

Dont regulate, that never works. Just teach ya sprogs to sort the wheat from the chaff.
My young ones say youtube says this or that. I say you need to PROVE to me its right. The elder one (11) says in court its up to you to prove its wrong (guilt). Answer here is "Do i look like a judge or a policeman to you?" Do more research knucklehead, in other places not just jelly on the youtubes. Or forget about the PS4 and God Of War with ya flaming sword chain thingys. I love buying nice things for the kids, only cause it works better when ya take it offem if they play up.

If the facebook issue today proves anything, it's that children need to be the property of Carls Jr.

I'm looking into this hypernormalization idea. Haven't scene the film yet. The descriptions remind me the links I saw between modern day politics in the United States and the way politics in the Soviet Union worked shortly before the collapse. This is described really well in Lenin's Tomb. So I'm sitting there reading this book by some guy who later went on to become a Obama worshiper talk about how no one in Russia believed any of the narratives those in power were selling. This was very different then how politics was working in the U.S. during the 90s (when the book was written).
This was during the early Trump era. Trump reminds me of Yeltsin. The same kind of ridicules fellow that never heads the government of a functional government. There is a certain standard of dignity those in power enforce. Only when they lose their grip do you get a Yeltsin or Trump. The other interesting idea -- is its one of the only sources pointing out how we all have a time economy. You can control people very well just by eating up too much of their time for them to think. So much of political media is distracting and vapid.

We all, (w'all hehe) politicians included need to re- read our job descriptions.
If you are a poly, sure have an opinion on ANYTHING you like. But for fucks sake keep it to yaself if its say, "Oh, I heard someone said bleach kills virus A" or "Something else you know nothing specific about" keep it to political subject this, or politics that. Or, better yet we ALL read their job descriptions and think for ourselves, we all love doin that shit. So that politician said medical opinion this, should I believe him/her? They could be correct, who knows. At least check with someone who isnt just an MMA fan or a news/opinion broadcaster who casts their own opinion. In closing, presidents arent pornstars and doctors can know more than failed casino owners.
