Differences in background should be accepted, variety is the spice of life. Trying to assimilate everyone into one line of thinking and actions is asinine to say the least.
At the same time as Lexical pointed out, Pride is simply a character flaw that the majority of people suffer from, it's the root of arrogance, scorn, and apathy. Nothing good comes from any sort of 'pride'. That being said, taking satisfaction in accomplishments and things you or your family or 'race' have done in the past can be misconstrued as pride and lead to the above symptoms.

Look, the only real question is whether or not your pride will allow you to bow to your future Chinese overlords, or whether you'll be taken out back and shot.
There's no denying Western thought is largely responsible for the world as it is today, but the Han Chinese will be taking over the reigns very soon. This is the era of "whitey's sunset" | ||

why the hell is p99 infested with dumbass racists? i mean i live in the south and i see it here a lot more than other places in the country i've lived but p99 has a lot.
be proud to be white, be proud to be black, be proud to be red or yellow; still nobody's any better than the other. you can debate this all you want but its going to come to this: 1) some cultures are more developed than others 2) physiologically all humans are the same and the skin color that we see doesn't mean someone's brain is any more or less capable than your own. after-all its our brain that set's us apart from every other creature. now what you do with it is another story | ||

depends on your location and mentality of the residents around you
Ive lived in a white suburb neighborhood for most of my life, and the mentality that your proud of your color would definitely not go over with most people, but on the other hand, ive lived for about a year in a bad part of yonkers, one of the worst ghettos in new york, being the only white guy around ive talked to plenty of black people, and i can say for sure that they had much more of a black pride attitude then ive ever heard any white person had about being white to the point that they were just straight up ignorant and foolish | ||
