Well, at least in Europe it is only associated with the murder of 6 million people. And do you really think these guys didn't chose the name in order to provoke other players? Of course they did. What bothers me about P1999, what has always bothered me was that many of its population appear to be focused on the negative aspects of well everything.

Why is there a Rant and Flames? Why are people who lash out and insult others tolerated here? PvP to me was created to up the stakes and make EQ more competitive. More dangerous. Without the option to Grief another player, Corpse camp their corpse, train them, insult them its...its just not going to be fun on R99.

First off, you're a long way from Kansas trying to preach peace and hold hands and omg im so in love with love bullshit to this group. There's bad blood, and some of it is circa 1999 (for example, I don't like Pande tards that exploited TZ and shit all over the server. As for griefing, you have to understand .. most people are visualizing this server as an emulation to the game they played in '99 and the atmosphere that existed BACK THEN (trains, corpse camping, zone line camping). It was illegal back then, it's illegal now, but it still occured and still will. Grief and EQ PvP just go hand in hand, PB&J style. A Bluebie mentality will be skull fucked and shit upon until you quit, to which then people will feel gratified for making someone quit.
