Honestly, this is a bit silly. Comparing government jobs to welfare is not really fair. Regardless of how you feel about the military, they are people hired to do a job and last I checked most employed people expect wages, be they soldiers, doctors, teachers, scientists, senators, or whatever. Calling someone who works for the government a drain on society is ridiculous.
