I just got my (first) bike last spring, and I love it. I ride it almost every day!
[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] I want to upgrade to a vStar 1100 eventually, but so far, my lil' Honda is treating me great (and gets almost 50mpg).

the only rule is; if you ride, you will crash. so dress for the crash, not for the ride. sweat wipes off, road rash doesnt.

Meh, my first bike was a 08 CBR1000RR. Been riding it for three years now and no accidents. Just cause your bike -can- do 200, doesn't mean you -have- to do 200.
No matter the size it's all about your respect for the machine (Scooter or Motorcycle, Crotch Rocket or Cruiser). Get cocky or arrogant, and your likelihood of going down goes up, period. On any machine. Stay safe, stay aware, stay alive. Remember, throttle all the way back is generally -not- a good idea on the street, no matter your skill level. Personally, in that price range, I'd look for a CBR600. It all really comes down to taste though. You've said you want a motorcycle. So, you want a cruiser or a rocket? --Calistah EDIT: Mimi, your sig is mesmerizing.
