GoD, 60 cap. No time/ele gear. Nor Loose Lynne. That would be sick. We'd allow AA (not for donations though).

Skip expansions from sol and pick them up again from Ldon and LoY. Those xpacs would be far better without ele/time gear carrying people.
QFT. Both those expansions were far more classic than Luclin/PoP (even though I enjoyed both those expansions on live). Well, except that they use the new models [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

LoY could be added pretty much without modification (which could be key, as DBG doesn't seem to like customization). It basically just added more content, set in the old/classic world, for characters up to 60 (and then I think there were a few boss mobs that maybe were intended for 65s ... but the over-geared 60's on P99 should be able to tackle them just fine).

But seriously, I think most live players would have answered that it added frogloks as a playable race, and added lizard mounts ... and the rest of the expansion was garbage.

Live players were full of AA's from Luclin and were level 65 from PoP, so no one really wanted more < 61 content set in the old world. But that's exactly why I think it'd be perfect for P99 (modulo the new models): it was basically content for the P99 crowd.

We could leave out the lizards (since we don't even have horses), and also leave out the frogloks (and their revamp of Grobb into the Froglok hometown), and simply have more places for people to adventure in. As a bonus, that content would be very pirate-y, which I think is something P99 lacks (what few pirates we have, like the gnomish ones, aren't very pirate-y).

Never played LoY but this sounds like a great idea. Although I'd love to add the Frogloks as a playable race at least, would be cool and maybe cause some increase in lower level population as people level Froglok alts.

+1

I just thought our staff (with their hatred of moon cats) might be similarly opposed to playable frogloks, because they too are "new-style" models. But if they weren't opposed, I agree that they'd be a fun addition.

LoY had some nice new potion recipes too. Including racial illusion potions! Ooooh, so shiny and practical for faction, height change, +regen, slam button, etc!
