(Fun side note: you can still find old threads here where I argued with nearly everyone in the forum about Green ... because it took so long that the vast majority were convinced Green would never actually happen.)

Point being, the staff always takes a long time for their major projects ... and by "a long time", I mean a long time ... but eventually they do always complete them.
Yup. People always said Green would never happen. It did.

There will be Green 2.0 eventually. Who knows when eventually is though.

it'd be cool if there was a comment every two years confirming that it's still possible/the intention

Let's just get an influx of new people instead of a new server. Get ready. They will come.

Sadly, the way they're handling it right now is probably the way they're harassed the least. Imagine making a roadmap and not making the deadlines, people would go mental.

It also probably implies guilt to cease operations, from the perspective of a slimy (read:any) lawyer

As a lawyer, I wouldn't say it implies guilt to cease operations. What I would tell them is you don't have to cease operations unless Daybreak files and injunction and a court rules on it. Granted, it might be in your interest to cease operations regardless; a court might look kindly on that and if Daybreak is suing for speculative and/or punitive damages you may be only making those damages worse by continuing to operate...but there's nothing legally that says you have to stop unless there's an injunction.

I expect he used the time tested method of negotiating with Daybreak before getting a subpoena.
