Here's OP again since I think you missed it:

IMHO no, not at all. I remember almost everyone's twink on my server having primal weapons (it's why they later added a level requirement for them).

I remember not being able to sell my Horn of Hsagra once I got my primal weapon. I couldn't even get 10K for it. Namely because primal weapons were basically the first version of welfare loot in an MMO imho and almost everyone and their alts had them.

I'm not even trying to advocate that they change this on P99 Blue either, but I don't think Primal weapons were ever intended to be this rare or prestigious, and that Luclin launching shortly afterwards made these items significantly less impactful in the traditional timeline of the game.

Does not make what OP is saying true, just that is their recollection.

I disagree, Prexus certainly did not have welfare primals for everyones alts. At least not when i finished playing a little after moon pussies dropped.
Does not make my recollections any more true either.

How do you even know you're from the same world as OP?
The Mandela Effect is strong with this one.

You remember a world where whatever these "primal weapons" things were popular.
I remember a world where bags could be placed in other bags.

Let's just call it what it is, alternate realities.
Steins;Gate has clearly made it's choice.

Keep in mind in Velious on live you couldn't even get a primal until sometime like 6 months into the expansion. Basically by the time the top guild got keyed and entered all the mobs were level 1 humans with "!" in front of their name, including invis non-targetable mobs like the ones that do the zone shouts. The zone was incomplete and completely unitemized. Imagine the tears on a fresh Green where they mimic that timeline and give all guilds 6 months to key up.

OP is indeed full of shit saying primals flooded live during Velious. Boo this man!
Like how we gave blue guilds 1.5 years of keying for VP and over 40 people retired from the game keyed before the #2 guild got its 6th key. But they never opened or released VP here… same thing.

timelocked servers become less and less classic each moment the next expansion doesn't launch

theres really two different things occurring on p99. those who want a classic experience of the first two expansions, and a raiding metagame. imo a good setup would be that once you experience all content on the classic progression/leveling server, notably by participating in a repeatable wake event, it movelogs your participating character to the (unclassic but "fun") raid meta server where the rewards are ramped up and exp loss is lowered, and all toons are 55+ via ST zone restrictions.
