That's crazy. I remember seeing a mob named Iksar or Iskar once and it was a humanoid lizard, and I remember telling my guild that it's probably a throw back to EQ, but they were all too young to have played EQ so it didnt have much meaning to them.

Bertox had a guild of only necromancers. And was one of the more overpopulated servers.

What guild was that? My original main was a dark elf warrior on Bertoxx and was in <Tower of Hate> an evil race only RPish guild, though they opened up to all races in Kunark to boost numbers.

I honestly don't remember my necro buddy who I also forgot started it. Right before kunark launch. I guess they broke up after a month. Or so.

I remember he was in a race to 60 with his wizard buddy. Who I would send tells to at avaik Island in OoT.

Weird remembering flashes of this stuff and none of the details.

It's worth mentioning that "Club F U" should have had their name replaced by the Verant staff, and in fact at one point they threatened to do just that.

However, a small percentage of the guild was Chinese-American in real life, and that subset managed to convince the staff that "Fu" their name was really referring to the Chinese character for good luck.

Not wanting to offend anyone, Verant staff backed off ... and the (again, mostly white IRL) guild was able to keep their "F U" title.

Ya, believe it or not but daman was only my third highest prioritize character at that time. the reason i was able to levelup so fast is all the tricks/knowledge ihd from beta. Khay didn't play in the beta, but i was constantly giving him advice and telling him where/what to hunt at certain levels.

khay came from UO, just like me, but he came with a pack of friends like Thea Bane( gnome necro), who was a piece of shit and whose guts I hated because of some of the bullshit things she did/said about me.

Now at least im glad i can point to this thread when any dumb cunts don't think I know about classic EQ when I fucking WAS classic EQ.

My main was Valaman a DE cleric, who'm I raided GoD, OoW, some sporadically up till TSS. Then I had Xurlibik a gnome wizard who only saw a little PoP. Early on I rerolled Dimmak, Xurlibik. And Flayzernax names over and over and I don't think I tried to hit 50 until after/testbuff when I finally got picked up by some guild with wolves in the name and the guild leader lived in Texas or NV with his wife, I think they moved?, who'm I grouped with lots. And a druid named Spyder I probably had a crush on. There were a pally and sham I grpd with a bunch. And a bunch more interesting people I vaguely remember. One guy used to box a dwarf main and like 10-12 other characters on his own mini raids.. some halfling druid I followed around a lot who begrudgingly tolerated me.. There was two guilds with a pretty good rivalry, I was not in primal brood or whatever it was.

I was in The Ministry of Anarchy or choas or whatever until I got kicked out and pretty much permabanned, shunned from Berlin.

I think I used to talk to a wizard, necro friend duo from Prophecy a lot.

The guild was probably "Wolf pack" or maybe it was the more germanic type spelling like "wulfe". Wolf/wulve/wulf whatever his name was a barbarian warrior, i believe the first 50 war on the server. he played a lot with sidious, karleigh/tonia, and i do believe his wife also played a babarian shaman. He ran around a lot with a bard too early in test server's life, i forget her name but was a wood elf. Damn good bard,.

I played on Saryrn, in a guild full of mentally unstable people. I remember rumors of some officers having trouble with their family or IRL relationships because of how much EQ they played. That’s around when I quit playing on live
