I played on the RP server a million years ago on live... none of the items were no drop, so it had huge appeal to me. Anyways, I remember Erudites roleplaying as Erudites and refusing to talk to lesser races etc.

From my understand: and please someone correct me:

The first elven king and queen, I forget their names, introduced necromancy to Norrath. They were taught by Innoruk: he kidnapped them then gave them a serious case of Stockholm’s- like a 3000 year case. A group of eruidites went and were taught at Neriak and then brought it back long after Eruds time. The erudin high council didn’t agree with the dark arts and a civil war insued and the war isn’t over but it’s for sure a ceasefire Cold War. Ceasefire when there heretics opened the hole, they were exploring necromancy further then anyone on Norrath and it went terribly wrong.
