Context, I got invited to CoM and grouped for about 4 hours at stables before needing a break and I left. I came back later and some of them had moved to temple, so I rejoined them there. Previously while at stables I thought the ranger in our group was looting corpses as soon as they died. I don't care about loot but I found it very strange a behavior choice.

Wasn't carried, I did a considerable amount of damage as a rogue and have the logs/parses to back that up.

It's a shame Calamitous Intent doesn't care about people who contribute to the group. Especially when faced by a simple question of why someone does something with no strings attached or hatred in the question.

I used to do an insane amount of loot hogging in Sol B, but if I didn't, the corpses just rotted and the tank/puller was actually complaining about people not cleaning up corpses. Always felt kind of fucked up though because I was literally getting 90% of the loot.

I suppose there is sense in clearing corpses. Right click to look would be a nightmare with a bunch of corpses clogging up the battlefield.

Playing a warrior this time around, I've found myself doing a lot of the looting. When I feel like I've been looting more than others, I periodically do a /split 30 or whatever, which sends plat to the others (no, I don't load them with silver or copper). Maybe this practice would help people feel like plat is being distributed more fairly.

I also mouse turn most of the time, which causes accidental looting, so I prefer to either hide corpses or have someone loot them. People who want a slice of the plat, please, start right-clicking corpses and get them off my screen. Just like BlackBellamy said.

I think a better response in this scenario would have been to simply start looting things more often; or to say something like "Mind if I loot some of the corpses?"

The 1-3 plat from trash mob corpses isn't important. If raising plat is the goal, you gotta /random for some items that drop and tunnelquest them. Or farm some guards for swords, etc. I wouldn't flame a player nor guild over exp group looting.

What Potatus just said. OP, you came off wayyyy wrong way of doing things. EQ is about community. Always approach as an adult. and not just accusing right away. Seriously instead of accusing someone of ninja looting, just say hey I wouldn't mind getting some looting in if that's cool. I'd say 90% of the p99 player base would be like sure have at it. Will say as melee we loot all the time(more so our strong orge arms), bc it clogs up the killing area. Personally though in past when I used to loot a lot of trash. Would offer up to group(Ie giving FS/gems to the cleric/casters whos stuck Medding). But even doing that most time its "I can't carry that, but thanks). Its all about respect and how you treat your fellow gamers. Just don't be a "drop reavers on you guy", or how your coming off in that Logs.

Also side note. CI = one of the more respectable guilds on this server. Seriously of all people GM races against, or goes into planes to take mobs. I'd say CI/Castle/BL are generally nicest peeps there. And CI/Castle generally nicest peeps I run into around Norrath(other then my guildies <3)

So would be wise not 2 attack a whole guild.
