I actually don't understand the afraid of the vaccine thing. It's not going to be widely available for multiple months. So people will have plenty of time to study any side effects etc. in the people who get the first doses. By the time your average person can easily get the vaccine, we'll know for sure if there are any issues with it.

You actually know a person who got covid?? I still haven't met anybody who has gotten covid nor anybody who has even known somebody else who got covid. I play music for a "living" (anything to make money) so I meet and interact with new people all the time. It's been extremely difficult lately with the various restrictions, but we still do it. Obviously my anecdote is not representative, because it's just an anecdote, but I do live in one of the hardest hit states by raw numbers. It's just a very weird time and I think everyone should hesitate to draw any conclusions about this still extremely young situation, which I admit I'm often guilty of doing.
